Talk Under Light x Helena Palau Arvizu, March 2025

This animation is built from two overlapping videos. One shows my face, and the other my body. The final image consists of vertical cuts that alternate between both videos throughout the entire sequence, creating a fragmented perception where the two versions coexist without merging.

Each frame has been printed, cut, and manually assembled before being recorded again. The process is meticulous and handcrafted, yet inevitably imprecise. Each cut and glued sheet introduces small variations that prevent the final image and movement from ever being entirely accurate.

This work is framed within an ongoing personal exploration of the construction of identity—its fluidity, its complexity, and the impossibility of ever accessing the complete image.
